Seminole State College Student Chapter Partners with National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)

As Central Florida continues to grow, the need for skilled construction workers here and across the country is urgent. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that as of June 2020, there are about 300,000 vacancies in the construction industry with openings expected to increase to about 747,000 by 2026.

Seminole State College and Seminole County Public Schools’ Lyman Career Innovation Center are working together to fill the shortage of skilled construction workers and prepare for growth in Central Florida with a career pathway for high school students to easily transition to Seminole State and pursue a bachelor’s degree in construction.
