Objective
The primary purpose of the Shotcrete Nozzleman position is to apply appropriate material that is conveyed through a high-pressure hose/nozzle onto a designated surface as instructed.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for adhering to all Company and Project safety programs, policies, and procedures as well as all Federal, State, and local safety codes and regulations.
Demonstrated knowledge of the wet-mix shotcrete process and ability to properly place wet-mix shotcrete.
Responsible for the shotcrete crew members and ensuring each is upholding their responsibilities for the shotcrete operations.
Assists Shotcrete crew in set up / break down of jobsite tools and equipment.
Inspects and maintains nozzle(s) and hose(s) to insure proper and safe installation of material(s).
Uses established methods of communication, such as hand signals, to insure proper material flow to the nozzle.
Working knowledge of different types of wet mix shotcreting equipment and each process aligned with shotcrete operations
Demonstrated ability and techniques required for vertical vs. overhead placement, compaction and proper encasement of rebar affect the quality of the shotcrete.
Perform shotcrete placement following proper sequence to minimize rebound and overspray entrapment.
Ensure all areas to receive shotcrete are clean, sound, and free of loose materials, and that anchors, reinforcement, and rebar structure is properly placed and blocked for proper clearance meeting our standard steel specifications.
Qualifications / Experience / Skills and Attributes

Required:
Minimum of three-years experience as a Nozzleman in the pool or artificial theming industry
Ability to explain procedures simply and clearly.
Able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with all customers, team members and management.
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to take initiative and prioritize.
Regular, Reliable, Predictable Attendance?

Preferred:
Certified Nozzleman with American Concrete Institute (ACI) or American Shotcrete Association (ASA)
Bilingual in English/Spanish

Working Conditions / Schedule
While performing the duties of this job, this is an in-field position and hours will be determined by the Superintendent (based on daylight hours and project needs).
Shift 1: 6:00am – 2:30pm
Work environment will often change and will require consistent awareness of surroundings and potential dangers to themselves and others.
May be required to work under extreme environmental conditions and work from excessive heights with high reach equipment and/or scaffolding elevations.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance from others or lifting devices from floor to waist and waist to floor.
Ability to walk, stand, hear, see to reasonably perform essential job functions.
Abilities include drag, pull, lift, push, bend, kneel, climb, overhead work, torque, and other repetitive motions.
Must have agility and a good sense of balance, willing to work in high places.
