We are seeking a dynamic sales leader responsible for building and leading a highly successful sales team that has fun working together to exceed their goals enthusiastically. The fundamental role of the sales director is to develop and administer a sales program that effectively contributes to the organization’s goals. You understand the responsibilities of establishing sales goals, hiring, and retaining sales professionals, and training team members on various ways to help the sales team reach and exceed set KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Participate actively in the leadership’s formulation of strategic plans to grow the company’s revenues, market share, and profitability.
-Develop a sales program with a repeatable and trainable sales process including marketing materials.
-Translate those plans into sales strategies that meet the company’s short-term operational and long-term growth plans.
-Responsible for the development and delivery of reporting and presentations to support executive decision-making and provide key metrics and performance indicators for the business.
-Understand the products, services, and capabilities in depth and communicate that to the marketplace.
-Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership.
-Attaining profitable results through the sales team by developing individuals through motivation, coaching, skills development, and product knowledge development while adhering to and enhancement of our company culture.
-Excellent negotiation skills; an influencer who is well-versed in presenting styles and public speaking.
-Plan and implement a specific appraisal system that describes the responsibilities and performance standards for each member of the sales team, set individual territory sales and commission targets, and administer the commission plan.
-Responsible for the planning, recruitment, hiring, direction, organization, and control of sales representatives to accomplish specific objectives.
-Provide high standards for training and development of the sales representatives so that they possess the knowledge to exceed customer expectations.
-Assist in the development of the annual sales plan, specifically advising on realistic forecasts for each branch (based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy, and sales effort), and realistic costs of operating the sales force.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Master’s degrees preferred but not essential
-At least seven years of sales experience in roofing, solar, home services, or other comparable industry with four years in a senior management position
-Understanding of end-to-end sales role
-Ability and awareness to identify sales trends
-Ability to develop strategies and execute
-Demonstrated success in achieving quota in direct-to-consumer sales
-Ability to resolve complex problems
-Ability to work closely with key stakeholders at all levels
-A proven track record and success leading geographically dispersed teams
-Experience in hiring, coaching, developing diverse and geographically dispersed individuals
-Work well in a cross-functional matrixed team environment
-Experience developing lead-generation programs and marketing content is a plus
