Position Title: Purchasing Manager
Job Type: Full time, in-office
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Purchasing Manager to oversee our purchasing operations and lead a team of two coordinators. This role involves overseeing the purchasing process, managing budgets and vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective negotiations. Additionally, you will manage and mentor a team, providing guidance on purchasing strategies, vendor relations, and cost-saving initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of two in-office coordinators
- Develop, implement, and maintain purchasing budgets for construction models/projects
- Source and evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors
- Evaluate vendor performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Make and receive phone calls as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Resolve purchasing-related issues and disputes promptly.
- Works closely with VP of Ops, Field Managers and team to ensure vendor and work order accuracy

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Purchasing Manager or similar role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Leadership experience, preferably in a construction or related industry
- Knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market trends
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Experience with Mark Systems preferred, not required.
