Compensation: Starts at $15.00/hour dependent on experience
Summary: This position is an entry level position on our ICF installation team. Skills and experience as a carpenter or form carpenter or with concrete formwork are an advantage and allow for a more rapid understanding and installation skill level with ICF wall systems. An ICF installer is responsible for the complete assembly of a straight, level and plumb ICF wall system including ICF formwork, bracing assembly, rebar and concrete placement. Physical labor is performed on the job. Overnight travel is sometimes necessary for this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Must demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn all aspects of ICF construction
- Able to read and understand construction plans – structural and architectural
- Must have at a minimum a tool belt, tape measure, cordless drill driver/impact driver, hammer, pliers/snips, handsaw – short/fine tooth
- Lift and carry ICF forms, lumber, bracing, tools, and other materials and equipment
- Carry, place and tie reinforcing steel
- Able to become proficient in the use of drills, skill saws, hammer drills, etc.
- Measuring and cutting lumber; assemble by screwing and/or nailing
- Rigging and assembly of ICF bracing and wall alignment systems
- Place, vibrate and learn to trowel finish concrete
- Load and unload trucks/trailers
- Perform general clean up around the job site
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work in outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud. The employee must regularly lift and /or move equipment/materials up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and fractions. Ability to perform these operations using units of linear measurement and volume
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Computer Skills: No Computer skills needed
- Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed. OSHA Certification is an advantage.
