LQ Construction Inc is actively seeking a strategic, dynamic & experienced lead estimators/ chief estimators capable of working in shell estimating ( Concrete, Masonry & Framing.) We are seeking a leader in the Orlando market who can lead & grow our estimating department.

Position Overview

• Closely monitor the estimating process to ensure timelines and bid due dates are being met.
• Review the estimating process to find the most efficient approach.
• Lead the estimating department of LQ Construction Inc.
• Collaborate with LQ’s Construction Department in regards to material takeoffs, overages & waste.
• Build relationships with LQ Construction Inc’s client base.
• Provide estimating training to new hires/ interns.
• Lead weekly estimating meetings with executives to evaluate priority estimates, bids won, bids lost & clientele pricing feedback to determine marketplace.
• Coordinate with project coordinators to ensure material takeoffs are accurate prior to sending out purchase orders.
• Ensure department staffing levels are to what we need.
• Recommend process improvements as required.
• Leaves to the field at a minimum of 1x every 15 days to visit with our construction department.

Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of estimating experience.
• Proficient presentation skills.
• Bachelors degree in construction management preferred.
• In depth knowledge of the shell construction industry.
• Strong verbal & communication skills.
• Basic understanding of Florida Building Codes.
• Demonstrated leadership quality skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Power Point.)
• Proficient in estimating systems like (STACK/Plan swift/ Builder trend)
• Excelling customer service skills.
