Construction Estimator

Location: Orlando

Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: Based on experience

Anchor Building Group, a fast-growing leader in shell construction, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator with PlanSwift experience and a strong understanding of Slab, Block, Framing, Roofing, Siding, and Door & Trim scopes.

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret residential and commercial construction plans and specifications.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift for the following scopes:
• Concrete Slabs & Footings
• CMU Block Masonry
• Wood Framing (floor, wall, roof systems)
• Roofing (shingles, tile, metal)
• Exterior Siding (Hardie, vinyl, stucco base)
• Doors, Windows, and Interior Trim Packages
• Create and submit detailed cost estimates and scope breakdowns.
• Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and suppliers to maintain accurate pricing and availability.
• Track changes in project scope and update estimates accordingly.
• Maintain database of historical job costs for future benchmarking.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of estimating experience in residential or commercial construction.
• Proficiency in PlanSwift is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of relevant construction materials and methods across all listed scopes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in takeoffs and proposals.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel or estimating-related software a plus.

• Experience with Florida building codes and permitting.
• Background in working directly with builders, developers, or GCs.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
